The Ajax Baseball Club would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made this past weekend’s Mega Tournament an incredible success!

To all the teams who participated, your hard work, dedication, and love for the game were truly inspiring.

We also want to acknowledge the coaches and team staff for their tireless efforts in preparing and guiding the players. Your leadership and support are vital to the success of our events.

What a great day a Cedar Park for Minor Rookie, Rookie and Mosquito AllStar Games. Thanks again to Dan Plowman Realty for sponsoring to make this happen. Thanks to the Coaches and volunteers. And a big big thanks to Chris Hastings for doing such a great job with the Skills Competitions!

We saw some great baseball and almost saw a triple play! Some clutch fielding, hitting and pitching made for a great day!

The PeeWee Division we had an extended Skills Competition and lots of time with Batting Practice under the ‘turtle’ on the big field.

The Bantam/Midget Division had a very exciting Skills Competition and Game. Team Duffins (Giant Tiger & Bristol) battled Team Carruthers (John Boddy & Ajax Auto) and held on to win 9-7.

The Ajax Baseball Association is thrilled to announce that six of our talented 15U Elite players have been selected to compete at the prestigious Ontario Summer Games. The event is set to take place in London from August 1-4, 2024, and promises to be a showcase of young talent and competitive spirit.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Paul VanWiechen, these young athletes will represent Eastern Ontario, facing off against top-tier players from various regions across the province. The team’s composition highlights the high level of skill and dedication present within our ranks, and it is with immense pride that we cheer them on as they take on this exciting challenge.

The athletes making their mark this year include Luke Barbara, Reid Gauthier, Seamus McKittrick, Matt Nigro, Logan Tullis, and Logan Ugolini. Each player brings a unique set of skills and a commendable team spirit.

As they prepare for the tournament, the Ajax Baseball Association extends its heartfelt congratulations and support. Their hard work, commitment, and passion for the game shine as examples for all aspiring athletes within our community.

This past Sunday, Ajax Baseball held its highly anticipated free pitching clinic at Competitive Edge, marking a stellar start to the 2024 season for the young Mosquito and Peewee players. The event, meticulously planned to boost young athletes’ skills, was nothing short of a success.

Focus on Fundamentals

Led by experienced coaches, the clinic centered on fundamental pitching techniques, offering personalized guidance to each attendee. The drills were designed to refine mechanics and enhance overall pitching prowess. From focusing on proper grip and stance to mastering the art of pitch control, the session covered all bases necessary for developing confident and competent young pitchers.

Ajax Baseball is excited to announce that Paul VanWiechen, our Director of Elite Programs and current 15U Elite Head Coach, will lead a select team of players from the Eastern Ontario Baseball Association (EOBA) to compete in the 2024 Ontario Summer Games. The Games, which will take place in London from August 1-4, will host 3,500 youth athletes from across Ontario, competing in 18 different sports.

Players born in 2009 who are rostered with an EOBA or Elite Baseball League of Ontario (EBLO) team are eligible to try out for a spot. Details posted on the EOBA website.
